Margot Molyneux, the Cape Town based women’s brand is at it again. They’ve just launched their new summer campaign titled Colour Field. It sees the brand drawing inspiration from American expressionists painter, Helen Frankenthaler.
What I like about this latest campaign is that they’ve stuck to the minimal approach and I love all things minimal. The looks are affordable. They aren’t fussy. They aren’t complicated. They just are. They would fit effortlessly into your wardrobe without screaming for attention when they’re there. If you missed what they’re about and stand for check out 3 Brands Women Should Know.
In addition to that, the brand has added a range of accessories which include bags and shoes, they’ve also added on to their footwear collection by adding sandals.
Founder and head designer Margot Molyneux had this to say about the new campaign, “Colour Field is an attempt to translate Frankenthaler’s aesthetics of large areas of single colour into a pattern that compliments the simple, clean aesthetic and soft, textured fabrics we’re know for. We’ve used her approach as inspiration to build a colour palette where soft greens, blues, pinks and yellows live beautifully together and carried this through to our lasted shoot, where tonal backgrounds feature in each image.”
Margot Molyneux which has been about basic womenswear has now shifted their focus to polished, classic pieces that can stand the test of time and quality.
